Personal Autotransporter

Hey Guys

I wanted to post this up here before I reached out to the commercial sources as I know some of you move vehicles and may be able to help.

I am being stationed at Fort Benning, GA for 6 months starting October 7th and need to bring down my vehicles and stuff from the New York area. I was originally planning on driving my Sequoia and towing my D90 (or D1, not sure yet), but I wanted to see if I could save the wear and miles from my Toyota. I wasn't sure if the commercial guys would let me (and the Mrs) ride down with the vehicles, hence why I decided to look here first.

Again, if any of you (or if you know someone) with multi-car auto transporter set ups, are interested and able, send me a PM for details.

Thanks in advance.

Al

I'd love to piggyback this thread if anybody knows a transporter who can move a Series 1 from CO to CA for me.

Has taken ny truck from the NJ area to CT. He has a trailer large enough to fit one vehicle that I know of and maybe has a gooseneck.

Met him through uship, and has shipped for me twice. Open deck over trailer.

He is bonded and insured.

Isn't there a train you can put cars on East coast? Or am I thinking about a differant country?

The Amtrak auto train runs service between Sanford, FL and Lorton, VA.

Info not think it stops to pick up or drop off cars along the route.

I have a friend that's a trucker. I was going to ride with him on a TN to Florida run, he checked with his insurance and that was a no go. Might be the same with commercial transport. I used a guy out of Baltimore to ship my 110 and 90 to TN. He has a 3 car gooseneck trailer. I can give you his number if you like.
