I'd be interested on why a landlord accepts paypal over recurring bank wire, bank direct deposit or bank check. There must be a backstory here.

It would be an easy way to accept credit card payments for times when your customers couldn't afford their rent. Instead of them being indebted to you, they could be in debt to their plastic provider.

I live with 3 other people and the landlord will only allow 1 payment each month. Just makes it easier for them to paypal me the money, and then I send one payment each month. He accepts any type of payment, we've just found this to be the easiest.

Thanks. Sorry I wasn't clear. I didn't mean back story on your end, but on the landlord's. As we've all experienced, PP does not make it easy to transfer funds from PP to an account where these funds can be put to work. Many use PP as the lone "buddy/slush/hobby/vice" account the SO does not track. A steady stream of revenue makes for a big one. It is not like PITI can be paid with it.

True, on a large scale it would be a total pain. It's a monthly $2400 payment so it certainly adds up

We get paid from our rental property via PayPal (wife's, separate from any of my accounts). There are no fees for this payment method from PayPal (it *used* to state "rent" or something as an option but I think they did away with it) and takes just a few days to get into our account. It's always been easy enough to setup with any tenant, and seems less complex (from a tenant comprehension standpoint) than asking them to setup a recurring wire transfer.

It's literally the only activity on the wife's PP account, and has never been an issue with PP.

This thread is a friendly warning, a heads up if you will. Choose to ignore it if you wish, what you in particular choose to do I couldn't care less. Maybe they will freeze your account. Better yet maybe you'll have an unfortunate accident with a circular saw then slip in the shower while your pawing at the soap with your stump. Then I may be able to log onto this site without having to suffer through another of your posts. You can spray your negativity at the poor nurses who tend to you as you live out the remainder of your miserable life in a home somewhere.

The internet is like golf. If it makes you angry when you play, it is best to find a new pastime.

It is the same. If the Rover makes you angry, it is time to step away. The Rover should make you happy.

If you have unbridled anger and frustration in your homeland, perhaps you may consider a relaxing trip abroad? Perhaps a swim in the warm autumn sunshine on a rooftop pool in Damascus? Enjoy the sweet taste of freshly picked figs and spend your afternoons visiting the ever decreasing historic sites while you can!

Go to http://www.jihadibooking.net and escape from your infidel life to the land of enchantment!

We guarantee you'll love it so much you'll never go back home!

I was ready to book my relaxing getaway and then recognized the false advertising. The temple in Palmyra is no more.

Just book the trip with PayPal. You can always file a dispute and get your money back.
