paypal limit lift

I have reached my Paypal spending limit. In order to use Paypla I have to either;

a. link my bank account (which I would rather not do)
b. get a paypal mastercard

has anyone had to do this? and if so, which would you suggest?

One option, get a separate account at a different bank for Paypal only stuff.

Just get a second account at your current bank. That is what I've done. No over-draft ties.

Yes, it should cost nothing to have an online only account...

I use a savings account specifically for internet/Paypal-related transactions.
Also, my Paypal account has my AMEX card as a primary account if there is insufficient funds in the bank account. It goes to draw from the bank account first, then the credit card (in that order).
I have been been using Paypal in this fashion for nearly 10 years and have not had a single issue.

You can't insure cash. You are not supposed to even send it, but whatever.

same thing happened to me...kind of!

They wanted me to upgrade to a business account as I have a long history of account usage...even though the agreement I signed way back when had no usage limits.

I said F you - and opened another account - with another email address...was a PITA as you then have to mess with eBay too - and open another account. Basically making life really F'n difficult.

SO - I have gone to card payment for EVERYTHING, through them...and I accept payments in to my Paypal...when it gets big I use it, so not as many payments out.

Maybe I should just stop buying stuff??????

Many banks now have programs to deposit checks electronicly. I now have customers just take a pic of a completed check and email it. I try to avoid PP at all cost.

Funny thing is that I have card payment through them for all my purchases. BUT, that is not good enough for them anymore. They are just being a pain and want more info about me. I feel like I want to say F you and move on. But then I screw myself for purchasing items on eBay, the forum and sometimes via other sites that accept Paypal.
