French police are bad ass and Deff carry. Not someone I would ever want to mess with.
True. Though in most urban areas an unmarked transit van full of armed cops is only a couple of minutes away.

Well then. As I said I would have no issues visiting Paris. Sounds like at least some of the murderers came into the EU posing as Syrian refugees.

I was planning on watching the news at 11 just to run a timer to see how fast they could get the words "Syrian Refugees" out.

Not sure. I just know historically they didn't. But things may have changed since

The French president, Mr Hollande, just announced in a press conference: "We will lead the fight and it will be merciless".

I like the sound of that. I have friends and family at the tip of the spear and in harms way. Having served and been in a position where I was the last line of defense, you do what you have to do.

I used to think of a similar solution. I thought the solution would be to nuke Mecca during the hajj.

But then when I really started digging into it, I discovered that Isis is also killing Muslims. Isis' ideology is an extremely warped interpretation of what they think Islam is supposed to be.

Isis is trying to bring on the apocalypse.

My theory is they are appealing to and recruiting young people who are board with playing Mortal Combat on a video game and want to experience it in real life.

It has been revealed from some that have escaped after joining that they often did not know what they were really getting into. When they arrive in Syria they are like, "oh shit, what have I done?"

Some may be aware that the Christian Bible mentions about the anti-Christ will rule the world for seven years. I have not read the Quran, but have been told it states that Islam will rule the world for seven years. Quite ironic.

History has a way of repeating itself. People should not have to leave their homes and countries out of fear. Everyone has been watching and dreading the escalation of radicalism and violence. People are capable of such beauty but also so much evil. I just wish this cycle of inhumanity would stop.. that would be great.

Our hearts and prayers go out to those in Paris and France in general. While it maybe true to say if one changes they win. However, we are looking forward to getting out of Europe and back to the US. The sooner the better. The Syrian refugee situation has truly changed the landscape.

Depending on where you will call home, things may fare no better. I'm sure we have nothing to worry about, right? Our betters have only "our" best interests at heart. Ugh!
