Oxymoron Quite Soft Top

O.k. this one's for laughs. Want to know who thinks they have the quietest interior ride in their Soft top and what did you do to get there!
I will go first – ST is noisy as two turrets inflicted pigs fu$king on the stage of the Hollywood bowl on a cold night. And I am front row to hear it!
ST doors are dynamated.
Tub dynamated and has a full size tub mat
Seat box cover is from a 300 tdi or Td5 can’t remember.
Sound proofed the floor panels and the interior bulkhead space above the air conditioning.
The two things that I can change are:
1. toss the tickford and go with a top (but which one?). I do have a belt rail and have run a best top vinyl and a new RN fabric one. I would not consider either one of these a suitable step up from my tickford.
2. The other thing I can do and have done is swap the ST doors for HT doors but I did switch back as I like the fact that I can remove the door tops and being in SoCal I can leave them off for an extended period of time.
Question who has run a Badger 1 vs Badger II FDS and noticed a difference between those tops as far as interior noise.
O.k. what else have you done to quite the pigs?

1. get the most road bias tires you can find. Then put the on a toyata camry and use it as your daily driver.
2. you bought a D90 ragtop, its going to be noisy thats just the way ragtop trucks are. I use to drive the 90 up and down I95 from Carolina to Jersey at least 3 times a year its just the way it is.
3....

I have Had the best top, fiberglass top, and the badger 2, and the badger 2 creates less noise. Even at highway speeds.

Illegal in most states and incredibly stupid. Not being able to hear emergency vehicles or other cars is asking for an accident.

You've obviously never ridden in my 90...let me take you for a spin, and you tell me what else you can hear besides gear whine, engine/exhaust drone, and flapping soft top!

Badger II with gutter kit and dynomat lined SW doors. My 95 is air tight, leak free and you can have a conversation doing 70 down the freeway. You get just as much air with the windows down as you do with the ST doors off in the summer PLUS you can go through drive thrus, roll them up if it rains or you park, and it gives you a tiny bit of security (thief will pass up doors with windows to reach into an open vehicle) and when you have the ST door tops on, they are useless for letting air in (or smells out!).

I posted up an image of earplugs that are not completely sound blocking, but attenuate injurious noise levels.

CA VC for example has an exemption for these types of plugs.

V C Section 27400 Wearing of Headsets or Earplugs

27400. A person operating a motor vehicle or bicycle may not wear a headset covering, or earplugs in, both ears. This prohibition does not apply to any of the following:

(d) A person wearing personal hearing protectors in the form of earplugs or molds that are specifically designed to attenuate injurious noise levels. The plugs or molds shall be designed in a manner so as to not inhibit the wearer's ability to hear a siren or horn from an emergency vehicle or a horn from another motor vehicle.

No worries, realized not everyone may have known the difference between the earplug image and earbuds...

I just drove a 94 ST with a 2.8 TGV, half used BFG MT's, and a large exhaust from Vancouver to Calgary. I have ear defenders like the post above and was surprised, and thrilled, that I could hear the radio quite clearly and the ear buds killed out the white noise. Without them the thing is freaking loud. I will however change the bestop to a Badger as soon as money permits.
