Keeping my hopes up that I can add either a D110 or a Series III 109 to the lot.

Yup! DD. And with all that we do to maintain, replace, and upgrade, mileage really doesn't matter as they actually get newer with time.

Yes, I couldn't walk away...such a pretty girl. She needed rescue. A Defender will be my next rover and then I'll be good...(?)

This boards is full of those famous last words.

For the record, an LR3 and RRC came after my 90, a DII at the same time, and a D1 prior.

Almost got a D1, but then I heard about this one. It was pretty funny... I took her for a test drive and the PO called me and asked if I was coming back. I had lost track of time lol

Update: well, I went and pulled the trigger on a second 110. LHD, Tdi, <60k miles. Hopefully there isn't too much hidden rust.

Plan is to drive this one while the other is being rebuilt. Also going to list it for sale through my dealership. Figure a ride like this might take a while to find a new owner.

Got the sickness bad. Could be worse. I could be addicted to crack. At least this way I get to spend all the money and not get high.

multiple Rovers????

Hi Guys I new to the forum and from Sheffield England, also new to Land Rovers realy.
On the subject of of multiple Rovers would it count that I'm using multiple rovers to build 1 hybrid Land Rover, I'm using the Discovery 100" chassis and running gear, the Defender 110 station wagon body (cut down to fit the 100"chassis) and series 3 doors and Range Rover Rostyle 16" wheels. The gear box will be the LT95 4 speed and the engine size is undecided yet but it will be a V8 Diesel.
The paint will even be Land Rover in the form of Santorini Black LRC820. Its a total mutiple Land Rover parts if anything.
I'm basing this loosely around the 1978 station wagon prototype Land Rover built for the French and Swedish armed forces. This will have a bit of a more modern twist and capable of towing a plant flatbed trailer without the rear crossmember flexing or bending.

onwers of Multiple Rovers?

cheers Bill I'm looking forward to picking everyones brains, as I mentioned I'm new to Land Rovers. I've ordered a discovery 100" Chassis with its title documents (V5) and all the running gear. and going from there, I'm really gagging to get started but I'll keep the forum informed of the progress. I'm also picking up a LT95 gearbox tomorrow and that will mated up to a V8 when I find the right priced diesel engine.

Consider it done! Matt is a great guy. I really can't say enough good stuff about him. Excellent builder, great racer in the 4600 class, all-around good guy. Having a good resource like him nearby is really the only reason I took the plunge into the Land Rover world.
