I always thought smelling like a dumpster behind a pub was part of the experience?

I'm not sure everyone only goes to organized events. We camp in the middle of nowhere and a hot shower is wonderful when it is cold out. We have a shower tent with a change area one side and a shower area the other. It works well and takes up little packing space. The Zodi is self contained. The container doubles as the water container.

FYI,

It's "flair" not "flare." Unless you are suggesting you will be torching the vehicle. In which case I suggest November 5th as a good date for such an event.

Freaking foreigners.

-3.8 gallons? And you plan to use it for you, your wife and kids, and extra water supply?
-Showering with one hand sucks. You'll use more water than if you were using two hands.
-There are showers at just about every single event. If your argument is that you can also use this for additional water supplies, then I would figure out something better suited for those water needs (like jugs of water) and shower at the facilities provided.
-Most of the best Rover events happen in the Fall-late Fall-Winter, i.e. it's colder out.
-Showering outside when you're at the beach is awesome. Showering outside in the Fall on a chilly morning on the frozen dew with a light breeze, no curtain to block the wind, while trying to rinse off with one hand and your loofa, and the garden hose in the other will blow. You and your kids and your wife will see Gustavo stepping out of one of the luxury showers provided at some events, looking refreshed, and you'll have a family of deserters - you'll be the only one left using your shower for the rest of time, just to hold on to some little bit of pride for creating such a masterpiece.
Masterfully explained...

At expo they had the mr. Heater base camp units.
I was impressed with how well it worked
And it's 329 vs 300 for a gravity fed solar shower seems like a better option to me

It's not so much permission as it is trying to keep your (our) sanity, and the never-ending quest to prevent you from buying sh*t you don't need! Doug pretty much hit the nail on the head:

Hence the question.

Besides Cove, I was not aware these events had showers.

I rather spend my time hanging out and not looking for facilities.

Now I know it's not important to have a shower.

Happy?

Hey guys... Get off my buddy Pedro's case,.. He already said he's given up on the defender idea and he's going to modify his existing truck.. Leave the poor guy alone, it must be difficult entering into a land rover 12 step program..and I think he's making excellent progress..

I did a system on my truck that uses a 12 volt on demand pressure pump through a heat exchanger on the engine.. As long as you have water you will have hot water...this way it can be hooked up to a garden hose and have as many showers as you like..or the ODP can suck from any water source including a stream..

That's the same setup I've seen on some comercial trucks. It works similar to the heater core.

I knew something was not right.
