overhead console for SW

Has anyone installed one of these or know of an importer ? Looks like they are made in Oz by a company called Outback consoles.

Those things are approx the equivalent of $500.00 in the UK. God knows what you guys will have to pay.

They're a nice piece of kit and look neat once they're in, but everyone I know who's fitted one, including one UK supplying dealer tell me they're a bitch to install. What you're never warned on any site advertising them is that you have to cut down the Defender sun visors to fit them. In the pic look closely at the corners of the sun-visor nearest the mirror and you can see the vinyl doesn't sit correctly where it's been cut & shut.

On one site I found the stated that you have to trim 100mm off of each visor.

Eric- let me know what you find- these are $400 aus and the exchange rate is 1to1 right now. I'm in no hurry.

You might want to look at the LaSalle with the overhead single DIN console (and speakers).
