Is that what first class looks like? Are the head rests higher than a normal sized person's shoulder blades? I might have to give that a try sometime.

I can confirm the weather in San Fran is beautiful right now.

You should see and feel the comfort of first class on a trans-oceanic or polar flight.
White linen table cloths. Real place settings, not plastic or boxed.
And lie flat beds.
Well, I've got myself feeling a need for another trip.

Johnny Walker Blue and nice PJs on Lufthansa. Then a black Merc S class or Porsche waiting for you if arriving or connecting on the hard.

I'm clearly doing it all wrong. I always say I don't fly enough to care but after being folded up for 6 hours I am reconsidering.

Not missing the cold, but pissed I am missing some real snow fall to play in.

All depends on the client. The middle east and Asian ones don't bat an eye at non Z fare buisness which makes it easy to bump up provided you are loyal to an airline. Domestic cities, forget about it. Then it is time to leverage airline perks accumulated from the Int'l flights.

Cathay is by far the most amazing airline. Every FA is stunning and know how business travelers want to be treated.

Man, I love me some Virgin America First Class. I have become a total VX snob, it kills me when I have to fly another airline.

Singapore Raffle Class fed me seconds.
Malaysia Airlines flight attendants greeted me by name when I boarded. But then I was the only one in first. Business travelers all looking at me like "who the hell is that guy?"
Japan Airlines was meh.
Cathay is great. Thai also. Korean not so much.

This is the truth. I actually buy the first class fare tickets on VX just to make sure I have a seat there. The only times I do that on other airlines are if I'm just completely exhausted after a long trip or I'm flying back from HNL or something. VX first is actually worth it.

That hippie Google programmer kid next to me clearly did the upgrade. When the nice older couple across from us asked him to lower his shades when the sun was blasting them in the face, he loudly exclaimed to the cabin, "I paid for three windows but I only get to use one?!?!?"

On Virgin America, they are. The food is actually tasty, the drinks are strong, and most of the FAs are very friendly--probably because they hire very young, new employees for the big planes. Compare to domestic UA where the first class "service" is maybe one weak drink and some peanuts from a grouchy old FA who hasn't cracked a smile since the Clinton administration.

Etihad (& Emirates but I fly on them far less) has amazing service in business and first class, and the FA's are like a menu of everything wonderful from throughout the world.

Oh, and it got cold as hell here today. 75!

Did someone say.... Webasto? I believe there MIGHT be one on the forum still for sale, and it might only be $250 now(or possibly cheaper). PM me for details. I can put you in touch with the seller. I hear he's a pretty cool guy.

I was mostly kidding. I just flew VX (cattle class, but you have to walk by first class to get to your seat so I do know what they look like) and it was a pleasant experience. I've flown VX on international flights before too and liked that as well. I simply don't fit it regular airline seats.
