Ouch!

Car-tastrophe: Mercedes-Benz reverses onto Ferrari 458 Speciale

Not Rover related but... Guess I'll stay away from Great Falls, although if she hit anything of mine it would damage her Mercedes worse than anything I own.

That event is so crowded these days it's boarder line silly. Still fun though.

Aside from the stupidity of the accident, compounded by her apparently trying to drive off the Ferrari's nose, I find the comments on the article troubling. The attitude of bitterness towards and jealousy of someone who has nice things (I've noticed similar comments on articles about private aircraft accidents lately) is disturbing..... Seems to be getting worse, and I won't go political here, maybe it is particular to who comments online, or am I just getting older and grumpier?

Maybe he worked hard for his dream car or maybe he inherited or is leveraged to the max, doesn't matter, I hope he gets its repaired and enjoys it.

I was just there the weekend before. Most of the cars don't parallel park - the parking is almost entirely side by side - especially by Katie's itself.

There is a section near the bank / farmer's market where cars parallel park. For the most part, cars are safe from truly tragic stuff like this. Rovers, especially if they have a lift and body armor, are almost totally immune.

What blows me away is just how far that merc is on top the Ferrari.

I can't figure out how she managed to get the rear right of her Mercedes on top of the front left of the ferrari. How do people in Virginia parallel park?

The internet has given idiots a podium that did not exist in the past. Back when interaction was face to face, nobody would listen to these people. Now they are able to rant from the safety of their homes while being cheered on by others of their kind. Just pretend it is real life and some crazy ranting on a corner. Ignore and walk away.

This is why Ferrari owners take up three spaces in every parking lot.

Oakton, Great Falls, Arlington, DC...lots and lot of homes starting at 1 million and over. The money around here is insane. Or at least near the top of the insane money lists.

The truth of the matter is that most of the world is dirt poor. A few people have megabucks, and they tend to concentrate in certain areas. Living around here means living in a different world where everyone is ok with being rich. Most of the rest of the world will despise you for having wealth...because they want it for themselves.

That's acceptable.

What bugs me is the lowered piece off dung Dodge Neon with the wing taking multiple spaces.

Its all relative... No doubt the owner of that vehicle has more of his net worth tied up in it than the guy with the ferrari... Typically you aren't offered a speciale of a current model unless you own or do own several of their cars. which is why although the MSRP might be $300k this is what it would cost you to buy one if you aren't on the "special" list.
