Anyone catch Rides last night? I was flipping between that and the Race recap. I think Giambi is a goon, but he made anice choice in buying that Mustang. Eleanor lives...

I can't lay claim to ownership but the next best thing is my father owns it. He pays all the bills and I get to sail on it. I was just up in Nantucket this past weekend and had to leave on Sunday and miss the race he won. The two greatest days for a boat owner are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

Follow-up Post:

I like the deck fluff on the bow of your boat.

Gotta love a really fast hole in the water. I don't know if many of you guys know about Fountain Powerboats, but they are built right down the road, and they are holding a race in a month of the river where they are built. I am gonna sit on my freind's sailboat and watch multi million dollar off shore racers fly up and down the river.

I would love a G-4... $$$$ There is a private airport by me and they fly in and out all day.

Fountain boats are great. I just sold my Hole in the water which was a Formula 292. I will miss the speed on the water but not the cost of filling the 150 Gal. fuel tank at $2.25 a gal....

Randy,

The boat in that picture makes filling a 150 gallon tank seem like a bargin.

In case anyone was wondering that hole in the water is 118 feet long and does 70 mph, oh yeah it has a 5000+ gallon tank and burns 16 gallons a mile. http://wallypower.com

It reminds me of a d-90, does 70 and burn gas like no other.

Matt

Very nice collection. Especially the GTV. I sold my 74 2L GTV in 99. It was red like yours, but yours is in much better shape. It was a blast to drive. I still miss that car!

The Alfa is incredible for its time - all alloy engine, 4-wheel discs, 5 speed tranny - just really well spec'd out for a 1968 car. Mine came from the original owner with only 55k original miles. Alfas are so relatively cheap, everyone should have one just for fun.

Indeed. Don't forget the mechanical fuel-injection, dual overhead cams and hemispherical combustion chamber. Have you replaced your points distributor with an electronic one from a GTV? Best upgrade I ever did. Drop-in replacement.

Chance,

My name is Jeff Stone, I'm the guy who bought your GTV in 1999. I sold it in 2002 to a guy in Denver named John Barnes I think, he repainted it, restored the seats, and put on some panasports. Last I saw he sold it as well about a year ago (I remember the add on the AROC-USA website). It was an awesome car while I had it and would LOVE to track it down again (anybody know where a 1974 GTV vin AR3024656 is LET ME KNOW ) By the way...this was essentially my only reason for registering on this forum was to say HI to Mr. Geurin and let him know about a car he once had. Hope your wife, newfies, and roadster are all doing well!
