Someplace east of Sioux Falls SD we finally gave in. Big day mileage wise. Cool thing was the rest stop had an RV hook up so I could charge up the coach battery and keep the fridge going on electrical to save propane etc.

We woke up so hungry we were determined to get to Madison WI for some cheesy lunch. Best beer and ale soup at The Old Fashioned. Oh and fried Cheese Cuds. Damn good.

Wow. I did not see any of those when I was there a few years back for the Sturgis Bike Rally. That is awesome.

I've always wanted to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and especially given my concert photography side-job they had a great temp exhibit on music festivals that was awesome. There is also a great Pink Floyd exhibit about the wall. That is the hot dog Phish cruised out over the old Boston Garden fans New Years Eve 1994, my 18th phish show at the time . It's been borrowed back a couple of times too for a couple New Years shows since it was donated to the HoF. The org charts are how the Woodstock folks organized things. Cool to see ICS used in the 69's...

From there we made it to Syracuse for some Dinosaur BBQ. Syracuse is special because it is where my wife and I met and we at BBQ a at this joint all the time. Best ribs around imo. We overnighted at a shitty hotel in Albany.

Woke up in Albany. Wife finds BLOOD on the door handle and we get the room for free. I didn't even have to complain. This was the last leg, Albany to Portland via Boston to pick up my car I left at Logan. But here we are about 1900 rolling in to our property. Yay.

Oh man you should have been pinging people on the board on your locations during the trip (didn't realize your route would go through Albany area)...could have definitely put you up for no charge just north of there in Bolton if you had mentioned something!

PS - yes, Albany is the worst....at the very least would have directed to Saratoga Springs...

We LOVE Saratoga but it's too far north for this run. It was in my original plan and to come home via VT and NH. Way nicer than, um, Albany LOL
