Ordering parts from UK and HS7 form?

Hi guys,

I have been ordering some parts from UK and have never had to fill any forms out so far but I have an order stuck in custom because of HS7 form I just found out.

I am ordering bunch of nuts and bolts plus a radiator grill.

What do I need to mark off to make sure this comes through?

Anyone with past experience?

Thank you,

Michael

NVM. I was ordering some parts named, Steering Column Shroud and that must have raised red flag. FedEx notified that it is just plastic covering and the shipment is now released.

I had to fill one out when I imported new seat belts. I just listed what they were in the description of merchandise box. No need to list anything else in the upper boxes since it's parts. Then marked box 2A because they're NAS. Then listed my name and address for both importer and declarant. I put individual for declarant's capacity. And rather than printing it out, I just added text in Adobe Acrobat and pasted in a photo of my signature, so I could then just email it back to the broker.

I once took a real ring and pinion for a Winnebago back to the uk ... Raised a few eyebrows in customs. To be honest it looked like the firing pin for the Iraqi super gun ...

Yeah. I like LRDirect because you can order stuff online on your desk and have to worry about the brand (Ie Bearmach vs. Britpart) that they will be sending.

They are pretty slow to respond to inquiries once you order though. This was stuck in custom for 10 days because they would not get in touch with them. This is 2nd time this has happened.

Anyways, hope the grille (with provisions for ac condenser) will make it without any damages as it must had been shuffled around in customs for days before making it back to FedEx.

Its bound to get crazier as customs cracks down on auto parts as part of the "War against Land Rovers" .
