Your threats against me and the lying BULLSHIT you pulled on Doug. The only reason you are here is because you have been banned everywhere else. So why don't you go back to the Mini forums? Probably because the moderators on all the other sites had sense enough to ban you. That is my problem with you sir.

The investigation has not yet concluded, so please do not label any of the trucks imported as "illegal". That is not your job.

DrAaron is a good man, and has been my friend since I purchased my 110 4 years ago. He has helped me in numerous situations that don't even have anything to do with Land Rovers, being that we were neighbors in Wilmington. He has stuck by my side since the seizure and remained in constant contact with me, assuring me that no matter what happens as a result of the investigation, he will help me in any way he can. His legal team advised him to just wait for due process to run its course, and that I should do the same. We will pick up the pieces when the smoke clears.

I don't think there should be any more speculation about DrAaron on this site in regards to the seizure and investigation, and certainly no more negative comments about him.

I hope everyone here can agree with what Kent has just said here and just not mention Dr Aaron anymore. If we are really trying to help Kent we should follow his lead on this.

Kent, the more I read about your situation and the way your handling it along with your loyalty is very admirable! I feel this community has embraced you and knows a kind soul like yours deserves to be taken care of! Karma is king and you sir deserve nothing but endless virgins and the finest bourbons! Anything I can do to help I'll be happy to, and one day I hope our paths cross so I would be so lucky to have someone of your caliber in my life. Best of luck and I wish nothing but the best!!

Hello all,

As some of you know, with Kent's blessing, I asked two different law firms that do work for my company to look into the matter. The findings, which I shared with Kent before posting here, are not encouraging, and thus i am writing to all of you.

Briefly, the two law firms - both high end litigation specialists in Washington DC - agreed that it could be years before a judge makes a decision to release Kent's vehicle. I will not get into the details in the public forum for obvious reasons.

Kent and I discussed options yesterday and he was initially not keen in accepting the community getting a new truck for him. While obviously incredibly grateful for people's generosity, he also felt embarrassed and overwhelmed. I proposed Kent a structure that we both felt would be a great way to move forward - parts of which many other people have already suggested. I would like to share this structure with the group and see if we can gather support for it.

Instead of "giving" Kent a new truck, we would all contribute to the building of a "Defender Source" truck. In fact we could (and probably should) incorporate a non-for-profit that would own the title to the truck. Once this new vehicle is built, Kent would have the right to use it (and cover insurance and maintenance costs for it) until his own vehicle gets released. At that point he would take possession of his original truck (or trade it in for the truck built by the community) and the remaining truck would be sold. The funds would be kept by the community and used in the future for other instances similar to this (or to throw a massive party!).

As I said earlier, I'm happy to contribute all the pieces coming out of my rebuild and contribute towards the purchase of a new platform or the labor going into the new build. Given that I'm brand new to this community, I'm not comfortable taking the lead in gathering funds, commitments and parts. I would like to ask one of the senior members here to help out.

Please let me know your thoughts either through this thread or through PM.

Best to all
Andrey

Thanks for your efforts Andrey.

I do hope that Kent lets us all help him in this situation.
'
Still hoping someone in his area could step forward to spearhead this project.

Kent, could you be happy with an above average example of a Tithonus D110? With maybe some drivetrain upgrades similar to what you had in your truck, after your new D110 is across the pond ?

I would be thrilled and beyond speechless with anything that was even close to my 110.

Does it have to be a 110, or Defender?

I know beggars can't be choosers, and I would never look a gift horse in the mouth, but if I had my pick of ANY Land Rover, I would build the exact 2door ROW 110 I had. It was 99% finished when it was seized.

I have a 2 door 109 rear tub that i would donate. I might even be able to come up with a set of coil sprung axles and a v8 engine. I also have garage space that could be used to put this together. Its about an hour west of Richmond VA.

Looking for a ROW 110 with a hard top, your blue soft top might fit the bill if we could source the hard top for it...

I think since this has been the decided direction its time to lay out some specs and figure out what it will take to make this happen (both in time and $). Some guys have both, some guys have one or the other, and some guys don't have either, god bless em...

seems like Kent's Main request is a 3 door 110 hardtop with a diesel, 84+ if I am not mistaken.

I think we should keep that in focus as its really all the same as he's not trying to build a 110 5-door puma or a GM powered 90.

Admins, source members, new thread?
