One person, multiple For Sale posts?

Anybody else get annoyed when one person makes a dozen listings in the For Sale section instead of making one post with a dozen items?

I am not pointing my finger at anyone, just wondering if it is "just me".

Last time I posted I put a bunch of stuff in one thread, the cheap / in demand items were snatched up in a day and the thread died but there is still some good stuff in there.

I was actually thinking about asking to have the old thread deleted and starting a new thread for each category of item so people would see them easily.

From my point of view things get lost in a thread when all lumped in together.

Next time I am going to do something like this

Hardtop seals (thread title)
Then inside the body of the thread
Item X
Item Y
Item Z

NAS soft top parts (thread title)
Then inside the body of the thread
Item X
Item Y
Item Z

The ones that annoy me are the ones that are like 10 pages long and people keep adding stuff

I think they should be separate as it (1) makes things easier to find and (2) prevents me from continually clicking on the big threads to see if things get added.

The Ninja never tires, and since you are a fast clicker it gives you an advantage!

Good points, but I had a recent thread will several items for sale and it worked out pretty well. After a week, when the thread was dead, with a majority of the items sold, I started a new one with a unique item left, and it sold in a few days. It just seems like throwing a bunch of items up in different posts isn't fair to the other people whose items get pushed way down almost immediately.

Dave, I like your approach a little better, a few posts and group similar items together.

What if there was a way to keep an editable box at the top of the posting, almost like how a Poll stays at the top, that can be updated to show when items are sold, prices changed, etc.?

It's not a huge deal to me, like I said, just curious about "perceived etiquette"

Greg wait till your son to gets older. In my experience, things that annoyed me when I was younger now don't matter anymore in the greater scheme of things.

I'd rather see them in multiple posts... easier to see what's taken and what's available...

big long lists annoy me

Sounds like I was wrong on this. I stand corrected. Thanks for all the comments.

That's right. The search is over and I have a new D90 in my stable. It's a '94 ST in nice shape from the Midwest. I'll have to show you at the next/first "upper Hudson Valley Happy Hour"
