On top of Europe


I stumbled on this today. Anyone ever remember these knuckleheads making the trek?

Some things are the same, world-wide: Great quote: "The Rover kept breaking and sometimes the guys had to go down from 4800m or 5300m to get spare parts to make repairs."

and "Next thing he knows the Land Rovers starts to get away from him and is barreling down Elbrus - the driver got out just in time, jumping from behind the steering wheel. "

Has anyone walked up Mt Elbrus?

I stumbled on to the same info in my preperation for my first of the seven summits. I will be climbing Mt. Elbrus this June I hope to get some footage of the carcus wich is apaently still on the Mt. maybe I can get some parts off of it?
