How about, Off Roaders should be allowed to use existing trails in national forests etc.

Yes seems like you can really influence a poll if you know how to ask the question.

Why does Toyota have their banner on top of that page advertising the hybrid. Maybe they are hedging their bets.

I was a little bit surprised the results so far are 73/27 to us.

I studied this in college, here's what I learned in a nutshell:
Nat'l Forest = Use it
Nat'l Park = Save it

Therefore, use the forest, save the park...makes sense to me. Now if people are muddin' in the park then I see a problem...and besides, when was the last time the government made a road that made any sense at all, no wonder they use the "illegal" 4 wheeling roads

Polls are just about always answered when the question(s) are written. How do you want it to turn out? Ask the question in such a way that it comes out that way.
Exception is when it goes off to places like Pirate or Sierra - then large numbers of brainwashed ppl go vote as ordered

I am surprised the pole did not read something like:

Yes, all-terrain vehicles and motorized bikes are major sources of environmental damage.

No, give them access to evironmentally sensitive areas and let them squash all the new vegitation and wildlife killing off the babies of endangered species and drinking booze, littering, and making a lot of noise.

I wish the pole was written more like:
Do you agree with the regulation to restrict off-road vehicles to certain parts of national forests?

Yes, the restriction would help reserve those parts of the forests for non-motorized transportation.

No, but restriction of travel on existing or planned trails is a responsibility of stewardship of our land that should be inforced.

As an avid outdoors man, I have seen atrocities caused by simpleminded little fu%@$ in our forrests that make my temper rise--and there should be laws that are enforced to protect our trails--and protecting our trails means keeping them open. Nothing pisses me off more than ANWR right now, though.
