I've seen more fights over spots at suburban malls than I've ever seen in Manhattan.

When I lived on 15th between 7th and 8th the B&T crowd on Friday nights used to throw down regularly...

The worst part about that is that they only fit 2 freaking cars in a spot large enough to fit 4. I was out walking the dog yesterday and some younger dude pulled up in a rickety old Acura TL with a muffler hanging down and a terrible repaint. He pulled into a spot large enough for 2 cars and parked right in the middle of it so there were 6 feet behind him and another 7 in front. He got out (my dog was taking a shit) and I smiled and told him 2 cars could probably fit in that spot if he backed up just another 3 feet. He looked at me like I was on crack.

dumb article...... idiots were probably not even from NYC...... never understood throwing down for a spot, at risk the other mofo would return and mess with the car.

Two observations:
1) The result of Big Gulp rage.
2) Garbage collectors must be on strike.

Too bad the cameraman missed the beginning, the guy in the BMW probably slapped the other one with a glove.

They were both slappers...I've never seen anyone fight like that...well at least not since grade school.

Parking space was just sold in San Fransisco for $82,000 or so this week.

LOL. LOVE that. But seriously, I parked in that spot last week, and it is totally worth fighting over. I mean, it is so cherry.

Total anomaly
Woman with more money than brains just HAD to upstage her neighbor just because the spaces were in the back alley behind her townhouse.
Also, they were actually two TANDEM spaces, meaning that they could fit four cars.
Still, too much money when you can get a garage spot elsewhere for $150,000-$200,000

Because snowplows, thieves & weather are unkind to cars!
Plus, add up how many hours you spent driving around in circles.
I remember, and I want those months of my life back.

I'd buy a few spaces in B.Hill or B.Bay and rent them out. Best type of investment. No plumbing to fix and really easy to evict deadbeat tenants!
