NYC Parking Garage Space for sale - on your floor

You'd still have to contend with getting your car in and out of NYC on the weekends if that's your thing (something I loathe) but for someone who wants to live in NYC and have their car garaged on the same floor on which they live, it's a no brainer. Yeah, sure it's only on the 11th floor, but some of us are on a budget! One of my buddies had a place in London Terrace (a block or so away from this place) and the nice thing is that there's a gas station less than a block away (rare).

You have to admit it's kind of awesome, though. It would be cooler if the garage was more integrated into the living space, like glass and steel walls to not only allow more light in, but also not waste the view that is currently only seen while in the garage. Nicole Kidman apparetly has a place in the building, and her penthouse has "expansive views of the skyline of New Jersey"... haha.

Damn that is cool! I do love barns but that is a great idea. Wish my building did that and I could stop working on rebuilding transmissions in my closet...shhhh.

People in the city don't drive to work. The cars are for escapes from the city-which as Josh has eluded to isn't easy except @ odd times.

You could, but your car would be vandalized quite frequently me thinks.

The garage door height looks pretty damn good, too. I read somewhere it was designed to fit an Escalade XLT or whatever the largest one is. I'd probably blow out the ceiling above it (2 floor units), put in a lift for an extra car or 2, and wouldn't have to coordinate who gets the car that day!

Good point! - I hadn't thought about that.
....or what happens when your F-430 or Murcialago spontaneously combusts after sitting in NYC traffic for over an hour and you don't realize it until you're stuck in the elevator.

Also, if you can afford a $7MM condo, an Aston Martin or Range Rover is a disposable appliance, not a treasured work of art. If it IS a treasured work of art like a Bugatti, or some vintage 917 or something, the owner's have dedicated heated garages for them anyway.

This concept is aimed squarely at middle-eastern college students with trust funds and sheik uncles.

I'm all about convenience and it sounds really cool, but I think they really missed the mark and were trying to create a market niche for themselves (the developers). I'm surprised only two remain available.

Yeah, it looks cool, but I think it's a giant FAIL (unless the buidling's infrastructure already had a large freight elevator for them to work with).
