I'm ready. I'm going to wear a different set of boots each hour of the storm. It's coming down so hard that it looks like it's raining not snowing right now.

This is about the time I start thinking about a run around the croton reservoir. The road will likely not get cleared before Wednesday. Makes for an awesome snow run.

It calmed down a bit here in Paramus, NJ. I felt like I was in a snow globe this morning.

I went to Lowes in Garden City yesterday to buy some closet organization items. It was packed! saw 6 people roll generators past me, every other person wanted a "cheap" snow blower. Walbaums was out of Silk Light Vanilla Soy. The apocalypse is upon us.

It's all the leftover fearmongers that lived through the Blizzard of 1978.
I was like 5 so I don't remember anything but building a gigantic snow fort in 1978.

The next generation is more worried about losing connectivity and keeping their smartphones charged, while older folks are lining up at Stop & Shop buying anything not bolted down.

Like anything else, just maintain a minimal level of preparedness at all times and you'll be fine. However, those of us living on the water need to take things just a little more seriously.
