Now in New Zealand for three months, just bought this:

Put a deposit on this little beast. 1991 Landcruiser EFI turbo diesel with factory diff lock(s) all around and adjustable shocks.

SWEET!!!

Coil springs and disk brakes all the way around, turbo diesel that pulls like a f$^king train, OEM two tone suede, yes suede interior that is flawless, cold AC and a rocking factory tape/cd stereo.

LOVE this beast, REALY REALLY love it. I think i will be holding onto her till she is 25 so i can import. It really is that sweet.

You could eat off the underside and the paint is near new as well. Seems to have never been off the hard roads. Nice.

I am in love with all the diesel trucks over here.

Bad pics from the sellers listing. I will have more soon after I officially own her (banks are closed till wednesday am due to the holiday)

This is my new baby.

I have only test driven it about 10 minutes or so..... in that time I fell in love harder then I ever have in owning over 80 vehicles last time i counted.

I really am in love - came back after the test and had all i could do to not just say "I'll take it" - had to be calm and say, "So what is your bottom line given she needs some little things" (nothing really, set of glow plugs and wiper blades) He replied with a figure that was WAY WAY under what I had seen and what i was will to pay so I handed asked him if he'd take some ugly US dollars as a deposit and he said "sure, but that is some bloody ugly green color money mate". ha ha !

Guy was really cool, small licensed dealer actually which is great over here as there are a few more things they have to abide by in terms of inspections and registrations and proof of history etc.

Truck has had over $10K in recent work in the last couple years.... bought for $4600 New Zealand dollars. (about $3600 US dollars and getting worse EVERY DAY! The exchange rate is shit right now)

------ Follow up post added January 3rd, 2011 06:51 AM ------

Wow it's late here, beer and the excitement of a new truck.... it's 12:51 am tuesday morning - got to sleep.

Congrats Doug. Think you might hang on to this one more than a few weeks?

Very nice cruiser. My dad bought a brand new cruiser in 83' and had it for years. Wish he kept it as it as really badass. What year is that?

1991. REALLY clean for its year as well. Doctor owned since it was imported from Japan in 2001.

Damn, that thing is cool. Add that to the list of vehicles, I love to see available here in the U.S. How are the interior layouts in those?

The dealer is probably amazed that you love that old rig so much.
