elkton is loaded with creepy and shady places. i am sure that you can tell from the outside of the garage that they will pass you based solely on your showing the dinero.

haha, i'm sure that might be a motive, but in reality the inspection system in md makes it almost impossible to buy a "passed" inspection. If the owner or inspector doesn't know you personaly they won't let you get by bc they don't want to risk losing their profitable inspection liscence... I've got my fingers crossed, i've heard some bad things about md inspection, although i seemd to not have any problems with it with my cars when i moved down here...

All is takes is money...I know guys who haven't had their vehicles inspected in years just because they will give the guy 3-4 times what it cost here in NC ($30) just to pass them.

md doesn't have that kind of inspection system, cars here only get checked for mechanical deficeincy's when you first buy them, after that you only have emissions inspections that are state run

It looks as if there may be 1 less in CA and 1 more in MD. I am moving back east to MD. Love to hear what problems if any you encounter.

sure, if the defender fails for anything other then tires the deal isn't going through, I just can't spend the kind of money at this moment, it'll take a month or so to save up some money in the repair fund.

too bad you can come north of the mason dixon - things up here are pretty chill with the inspection - it is more of a revenue generator than a real 'inspection' - slip the $ and you are straight. i live like 5 mins from maryland line - so if i get a chance i will slip down there this week and see what is happening. any of you md folks up for an assateague rub in aboud a month or two. i am getting the itch for some beach driving.
