Best thing I did over a decade ago was add an automatic propane powered generator. Came in handy last weekend.
Decent winds but not much snow unless you are outside 495 in Mass

The snow can be fun! I put my winch bag in the truck and go pull Jeeps out of the snow!

Wait, so let me get this straight. I moved from *Virginia* to New York, right? Good call! Putting a plow on the IIA next year, no doubt.

Not sure how Virginia is with snow clearing but pretty sure upstate New York know how to clear snow off the roads. And NY snow is probably better quality. Usually snow and not mixed with wet heavy back breaking snow.

Philly and the surrounding PA burbs stink.

Unless we get more than 3 inches of snow the plows stay up and salt gets put down.

Turns to ice. Geniuses.

When I was younger they would put sand down which was cool because you could see the sand buried under the ice after all the vehicle traffic padded it down. Useless.

Hasn't really started sticking to the roads yet though.

The news keeps saying in Philly that they are right...and the pain is coming in a few hours. I'll take them being wrong this time for sure, but they claim the storm will be pushing the moisture west inland, which will bring the wind and heavy snow.

Last time I drove through Virginia during a snow storm, I saw one snow plow for every 40 miles of interstate. We do things differently up here in Mass.
I'm sitting in the we don't know how much we are going to get zone. The gradient between rain and 8 plus inches is only about 10 miles. We had a minor dusting this morning of wet stuff.

10-15" predicted here, but nothing is sticking yet. The Webasto sure beats having to brush off the truck, but I think I'm letting it run today for nothing.

4-5 inches so far about 30 minutes north of Philly. 7-10 expected. My co-workers in MN laugh at our Nor'Easters.

I hope that is what my driveway looks like.

I hate heavy snow.

This whole winter has been a leaf blower kind of beautiful snow.

Time to battle the dummies driving with their lights off and driving through broken traffic signals as if they never existed.

Just moved my snowblower from the barn to the garage.
Just windy. All snow this morning has melted.
Bring it on!

We got a little bit of snow yesterday. Nothing really stuck to the roads at all, in fact, they were pretty dry. Woke up this morning to so much salt on the road it looked like it was paved with diamonds

We got a few inches up here near Boone yesterday morning, then some more overnight and just started snowing again. They salt the absolute snot out of the roads up here, sucks. A picture of my driveway.
