NJ people

Anyone looking to get out for some wheelin soon? I've seen more and more Defenders on the road where I live, and a couple of you guys have to be on this board lol.

I'm stll new to this truck so I was hoping to get maybe a couple people together and go for some wheelin and see what it can do Maybe the Pine Barrens or somewhere relatively close by. I've never hit a trail in NJ so I'm all for suggestions and directions!

Not a formal event so I figured best to be posted here, if it needs to be moved sorry about that!

I'd do either, Rocks are deff much more prone to hurt something, and I dont want to break anything just yet as I'm just starting out, if its not too hardcore I'd be fine with the hard stuff.

Sat/Sun are no good for me, but Monday or anytime after would be fine.

Pine Barrens it is always fun, there are always organized groups going there and trying to steer away from the local Piney Boys running Broncos on 45" *LOL*

Within the next months here is a list of events

MAR end of September - VA ( 6 hours for you )
URE mid October - NC ( 8 hours for you )
ROTR early Nov - PA ( 3 jours for you )

Bossman- would love to join in but too many kids sports going on this weekend. Plus I am itching bad to ride my pedal bike.

Do you have a guide or meeting up with some other trucks? The Pines might be a little high in some of the water holes.

Gus gave a great list of upcoming events. Add the Overland one in mid-Vermont as well. Think its about 5 hours drive depending on route, speed, and traffic. I am shooting for ROTR if you want to caravan out.

Last time we were down in the Pine Barrens was about 3 months ago.... a lot of the trails were blocked off, I think they were trying to allow some re-growth. When we went, it was relatively dry on the trails we could go on. Your best bet may be to go by the ranger station and go into the trails by there, and hope that there are some fun water pits.

We'd definitely join you, but this weekend is a shop day weekend, as we are preparing for a run up to Quebec next weekend.

There has to be a ton of water down there still with all the rainfall we have had since Irene. Im even taking into account the composition of the soil which is fast draining.
