NJ Galvy run

Any guys in the NJ area that want to get in on a galvy run let me know. Have about 100lbs worth of bulkhead/hood frame/misc bits i want to get galvy'd.

Need 250lbs if i recall to get the most bang for your buck. After that i think its $1 per lb

Will prob go to V&S in Perth Amboy.

Not sure if im ready to have anything done for this run... but just curious -- how far stripped do you have to have the parts? Do they sandblast it or anything prior to galvanizing?

They don't sand blast. They do dip in acid to clean but they say it doesn't remove paint.

That being said I had them do a roof rack completed rattle canned and it came out fine, I didn't strip it at all.

As with any finish, the better the prep the better the result. All my stuff is sand blasted but that's bc I wanted to see how the metal was underneath
