Saying hi here as well. I help Andy out with his various boards and will be around to help out here as needed. Regarding the comment about image resizing and some other requests and these can all be addressed in the days to come and it will be nice to see some of these changes.

I also (sadly) don't have a Defender but I look at them longingly (desire is pitiful to behold sometimes) and could really use the space and torque. I tow an old airstream from time to time and have a band. We have lumpy gear and tour crappy weather. Nice to be here, never the less

I also (sadly) don't have a Range Rover but I look at them longingly (desire is pitiful to behold sometimes) and could really use the space and torque. I tow an old airstream from time to time and have a band. We have lumpy gear and tour crappy weather. Nice to be here, never the less
You don't have a range rover, well maybe you can get a land rover instead.

Welcome and good luck with the site.

As a pretty new member to the forum I must say I am encouraged by the posts from both Chris and Andy and also encouraged by some of the recent action that appears to have been taken to curb some very unhelpful behavior. I agree with the approach that most of this nonsense will run its course and revert to the subject matter as the East Coast / West Coast jabs did between two of the most current/prolific members of the site.

This is by far the best forum I visit. I lurk on most and post here the most (which says how much I lurk on others given my numbers are not exactly up there here), but posting here was a given because of the nature of this forum, the community and the subject matter.

My last post was a bit of a negative view on the potential for ads to start creating a very unfriendly experience. I'm of course appreciative of any opportunity to get grandfathered in, but do hope that the future integration of ads is friendly enough to keep this a positive browsing experience I feel exists here despite the ugly green background and challenges associated with pictures.

Onward and upward D90.

Ben

Will it always be called D-90 source? What about us elitist 110 owners?

I was just kidding but actually what is funny is that I actually own DefenderSource.com. I'd be happy to donate it to the site if it eventually does take on that name.

PM me or email me if you are serious.

Looking forward to the "evolution" of the forum. I must say I've refrained from posting lately as it was becoming a little harsh. I'm hoping to continue to learn from all the members here and contribute where I can. It's one of the best forums I frequent and one of two I participate in.

Perhaps in the future we as a group can organize "official" d-90.com events and maybe strengthen the awareness as a group at Land Rover or other off road club outings.

Would love to buy forum t-shirts, hats, stickers, etc if they become available again. Might help generate revenue
My profession is graphic design and would be willing to help out if needed. Just let me know.

Welcome, and hope it remains a quality web forum for such a legendary vehicle.

Welcome, Andy and Janet! I for one am very excited about the prospect of (long overdue) updates and improvements to the site. Perhaps starting a suggestion thread would be in order?

Ha, seriously...I took a break from the board for a few years and no more Geocities/Yahoo forum and Brian Bonner, Q and the Dobbs are all gone...but it does seem like it's time for another refresh.

Some forums have a stat on the front page with the person with the most posts.

You should do that.
