Newcastle England

Well, over in Newcastle England for business. Anybody been here before, any recommendations on sites to see?
Seen several Land Rovers, but not one Defender yet! What's up with that? I thought they would be everywhere...

You would think they would be everywhere. Im in Cannes, France for the film festival and alot of the local work trucks are 110s. Snapped this one. Certainly would of thought you'd see more of them in the UK then down here.

The Barbour Jacket factory is in south shields. They have an onsite outlet with good deals. I am sure it will rain on you at least once so could come in handy also.

Went down to Gateshead. Cool area. Very narrow streets, old buildings. Reminds me of Ireland. Anyway, I see lots of RR and Discos/LR3 and one Defender (took a picture of it). Gotta figure out how to download the picture from my Blackjack phone. Anyway, a colleague of mine from Worcester mentioned Defenders are very expensive therefore they are sort of rare. I thought this to be odd.

BTW, the Newcastle beer is splendid as well as the Guinness (they poured my pint leaving a shamrock on the head...ahhhhhhh)

Cheers...

Next time in jolly old England, I plan on visiting the Newcastle brewery. My favorite, next to Guiness of course!

Fish -n- Chips -n- Defenders

Well got to see some really awesome Defenders, only got a pictures two though, one of which was a 50th V8 (I'll post soon).
I saw: D110 SW, D110 hard top (government vehicle), SIII pulling a horse trailer, D90 pick-up and several other D90 SWs. I know it worthless to comment without pictures, but I thought I'd share.

I'll be savvier with the camera next time I across the pond...

Cheers...
