New Sub-Forums Created: RURR

We're very excited to announce that after careful consideration, new sub-forums have been created to specifically cater to RURR (Rover Underground Rail Road) requests or trips that may help facilitate the transfer of Rover parts from point A to B. Some features of this sub-forum are as follows

-Each state will have its own sub-forum within the RURR sub-section, so if you need to have a part transported from Richmond, VA to Annandale, VA all you'll need to do is post in the VA RURR sub-forum.

-There will be a "RURR-Happy Hour" sub-forum, for when the RURR may be able to be facilitated by your peers, even if you can't show up at the HH yourself

-The "Second Chance" RURR feature has been created for those times when someone literally just took the trip that would have transported your Rover part directly to your door, but you just realized this two days after that trip was made. This new feature will automatically PM that person on your behalf and will ask them if they wouldn't mind taking the trip again.

-"The Calculator" as we like to call it, will automatically calculate on a rolling basis how much time you've spent trying to get your winch controller, D2 cup holders, etc. to your house via RURR and will also track how much time you're requesting from others, and will multiply those numbers by how much you value your time as well as a separate field for how much you value the time of others. Extraneous costs such as tolls and gas/diesel are irrelevant, so do not ask.

-The "Discount Double-Check" feature will compare the dollar amount calculated above via "The Calculator" to the USPS small, medium, and large fixed-rate packages, and how much sooner you could have received your part via the post. Larger items will be compared to Fastenal rates.

-The "Big Brother" feature ensures that your part arrives safe and sound even if you're not at home when it arrives, by e-mailing your significant other with all of the details of your RURR request, and keeps them up-to-date with any updates regarding any logistical issues.

Very cool idea! I pull RURR's often, but mostly use the app. I went looking for the sub-forum just now but couldn't find it. Is it live and will it be available through the app?

You will need to hit 3000 posts before it is visible. Keep posting. You will get there.

sweet. I'm looking for the NC RURR subforum. I need to get this medical document hand delivered and money is tight.

True! I did think it a bit much ;-)

And yet, I do remember talk of a RURR only message board or something or other a few months ago.
