New site moderator

JimC has been a great moderator but as we all can relate, one's personal life naturally take priority over things. Even though a lot of us have missed seeing JimC here, we can certainly understand and wish him the best in his activities that are keeping him busy. Just as I'm sure many other here do, I hope JimC will rejoin us on a regular basis again.

After almost 8 months of considerations, I've added another moderator to the site to help me "officially" keep an eye on things. I privately considered a number of members that I felt continually overall demonstrate helpful qualities that reflect the spirit of how the site runs. I feel we have a great community here with so many members that not only contribute to helping others, but also exercise character qualities to help keep things running smoothly, so the possible candidate selection had the potential to be a monstrously huge list. In the end, I approached Sasha (Departing90) that I had been considering him for some time and asked if he would like to take on the role, and he accepted.

Please welcome Sasha (Departing90) as a new D-90 Source moderator.

Brilliant. Hit the "power" button on the site server now. The party is over on this one...

I am very pleased to hear this! Hopefully, this mandate from the site administrator will allow Sasha to add his very special touch to the entire board! Hopefully, exclamation marks will be the only permitted punctuation, with nonconforming posts deleted or edited!

First order of business! The "Help" section will now be called the "Dumb News" section! Misc. Chit Chat will now be called "Dumb Games II"!

And the site will be hosted on a Pentium Pro 200 located in Ron's basement which he got 9 years ago on trade for a signed, first edition Harry Potter novel.

No no no - Ron doesn't have interwebs at the house, he'll have to mail out updates via USPS on 8mb flash drives - fortunately, we're getting a group buy of those together for only 128.99 each.

And I will take over as the site's chief mechanical resource. Now, if I can just find my most effective tool - the checks pre-printed with Overland Engineering as the payee.

I can't believe I was not consulted. I am nothing if not level headed and loved by all.

Say Goodbye to Photos on the site.

This is a great thread! Ever since I read Ron's post I've been having flashbacks to DOS though...
