Pretty sure Roverland was renamed overland 4x4 after getting a letter from LRNA's lawyers like more other companies got a few years ago.

If it has anything to do with Roverland/Overland4x4 I don't want to have anything to do it. Expect the same lack of Rover knowledge, over pricing, and general lack of customer service they are known for.

Weird. I used Roverland once before back in 2006 or 2007 and they were great. Reasonably priced from what I remember and solved the issue I had instantly after other folks multiple failed diagnosis.

Hum... Anyone care to share their experience (or their "friend's" experience)? I sure would not be interested in such a company.

Pretty much exactly right. To paraphrase my experience and a few others: massive overpricing on parts/labor for 1-2 initial visits, newbies then wise up and never go back.
Then people are motivated to learn and repair their own rigs. So, thanks Overland4x4.

Search Roverland here on the forum.

1. I called looking for '83 110 parts and was told they only made the 110 in 1993.
2. I had to explain to them what a differential was. The kid on the phone kept insisting I was referring to the tcase.
3. They wanted $2k to install a locker
4. I was told flat out they won't touch non-NAS trucks or diesels.
5. They are often rude on the phone when they learn you don't have one if the limited vehicles they actually work on.

Bottom line, their customers are the newer Rover type owners that are looking for an alternative to the dealership, not the true enthusiasts like us.

Overland

Roverland / Overland did a great job on my truck too. Their prices were a hell of a lot better than a dealer or other specialized shops that actually "can" work on a Rover. Were they cheap? No. But it was a quality job. Id def go back

I've never used these guys before but if I experience a small business is out if line with pricing or customer service I simply talk to the owner and express my opinion.

I've always received a grateful response/reaction and I've found the problem goes away. Makes no sense to me to not communicate in these situations.

Have they changed ownership or management? Seems like two completely different stories from folks which can often be the result of different management

My experience with them was from 2008-2010.

And every time I asked to speak to the manager/owner, I was told they were "busy" and left a message. No return calls. Ever.

If they are under new management, good for them.
