New LR4 Commercial

It would work MUCH better if it were a Defender...

Give it a little time. There should be no surprise that the expo version of the DC100 made it's debut around the same time as this commercial.

A Defender is used in this newer LR tutorial at the very end. Funny to hear proper location of your "bow wave" in an automotive setting.

That's so lame, anyone going on an adventure would never take those clothes to the cleaners and that truck was too clean and unmolested to have ever been anywhere other than the cleaners.

I actually thought it was a clever ad.. At least they are still trying to promote the brands offroad prowess and yes it would be better if it was a Defender.

What are you talking about? The trip up the airport parking garage can get pretty aggro. I mean that couple isn't using the LR4 for actual trips right - just flying to different spots is what I took out of it.

I only wash my outwear 1x a season - I always thought too much washing would break down the Gore membrane too quickly. And it will never go to the cleaners.

Looks like LRNA is spending too much on advertising like they did with their lawyers on the "Rover" Gate witch hunt. IMO, Subaru is the only ones on point with their adverts - they use the car in the ad not just s a prop.

Attn LRNA - here are some TV spots:

  1. Surfer Mom: Scene 1 - Yummy mummy in the line up, then drops in & rips a nice front carve, Scene 2 - packing the surfboard on top of the LR4 (make sure the actress is tall), Scene 3 - in the line up at school with the sandy, dusty LR4 in the middle of a bunch of shiny Esclades on 22"s. Bonus points out of state (or even better out of country) tags, Mom is in flipflops and gets the equally laid back looking kids
  2. Trail Couple: Scene 1 - older couple dirty and hiking (even better doing trail maintenance with AMC) - guy looks at watch - they need to go, Scene 2 - packing up stuff in the LR4, Scene 3 - drive thru car wash, couple is getting into black tie wear, Scene 4 - pulling up to CC, couple and LR4 are clean and looking good save for a little mud on the tires and shoes of each
  3. BC Businessman: Scene 1 - guy pulls up to the parking lot early AM, and pulls out boards and skins, Scene 2 - drops in on burly tree line and rails a few tight turns, Scene 3 - loading back up, putting on tie, kids with big trucks with sleds on trailers pull up, Scene 4 - running a meeting or in office on call still wearing ski hat or base layer or shell
  4. Family Sail (or Fish): Scene 1 - family at the dock, unloading sails or poles/bait/cooler, Scene 2 - sailboat leaning over or kid pulling in a big fish, Scene 3 - some other kid activity like T ball or basketball (can't be lacrosse or hockey) - but kid forgets belt and uses a piece of line or family is sitting on a old sail as a blanket to watch event.
The tagline would be Work Hard - Play Harder

All for free LRNA - just make sure the new Defender is at least half decent.
