You can keep the oval, just change the color.

Is this still an Oval?

I'm no graffic artist, but I was bored this morning.

Maybe combine this with Gery's.

Notice the 130!

lots of great stuff. Want to see what Ron comes up from the legal angle before doing anything.

Forget the logo, I think legally you should be forced to make a better website.

easy there little fella. there's this thing called constructive criticism

As a matter of fact I may very well end up having to create an all new website but will use the same host and templates. that said i'm open to suggestions and what content others would like to see.
It gets 150-200 hits a day so obviously people re-visit often.

Come on man!

I account for 20 hits a day. Just saying it could use a more professional feel. Content is great but it needs a more polished look.

It's not hard to do and there should be enough guys on the site who can make a nice template. I wish I had the skill. I would make it for you.

polished website for a business that imports oxidized old rovers ? Wouldn't a website with patina be more appropriate ?

I tweaked my version so it is a little easier to read Dividing in the logo.

Also put them on t-shirts as a sample of what it may look like if Doug ever wanted to sell shirts

I like it but I think I would prefer the V just to be black.

Doug, just show the trucks; they speak for themselves. Pics sell. Graphic clutter won't help. You don't need a cutsie logo or a color palette.

Is the diving creek concept the ocean between the US & UK?
if so maybe you could make a creek between the countries.

the coolest thing on your site are the truck photos!
if you use "google analytics" you can see what folks spend the most time looking at and fashion you site to lean more in that direction.

You could help you search engine optimization (SEO) by including your "how to" articles in places like "e zine" and include those terms in your meta tags and keywords & descriptions

i would bet that most of your potential clients have a million questions about what it costs.

what else do you import?

When I started this just over 4 years ago now I lived on Dividing Creek a salt/brackish creek on a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay just outside Annapolis Md. Thats where the name came from.

I have been slack as of late posting up new content on the website and since land rover seems to be forcing me to change the ip address/name I guess it will get some attention shortly.

I get lots of questions about cost's through the website. Since no two imports tend to be the same and shipping rates move with exchange rates I have been reticent to post costs since that would force me to do more site maint as exchange rates and negotiated shipping rates change.

I import a fair amount of parts for myself and my friends but not looking to get into that as a business as George and Stephen have that well in hand. Vehicle imports aren't limited to Land Rovers- I'll import anything thats of legal age from anywhere.

COOL!

Sounds really interesting!
you can probably put a calculator that will show an "estimate" of costs based on today's exchange rate!

My thought was the easier you can make it for someone to take that leap of faith and buy the more biz you will do! I realize you cant have a button that says buy now or add to cart but you can make it more obvious.

You are in a really cool business and obviously have tons of knowledge!

Very cool Gery. I think I'm the only person who would wear one of the tshirts.
Just don't think even enthusiasts would buy them
