New Defenders

Heard from a friend who heard from a dealer guy who had returned from a LRNA thing out west that there will be a new Defender within 2 years in the US.
Wonder what it might be like?

Dealers have been saying that since the NAS defenders were NLA. Every couple years there is something that looks somewhat promising... then nothing... not holding my breath.

The recent buzz is around something built on the LR2 chassis sort of an FJ cruiser looking deal.

Funny I heard the same thing in the dealer yesterday. Did not mention what they would build it on but said 2014. He has been with them a while as well. I was looking at trading in my RRS or LR3 for the newer sport or LR4 (wife's ride)

Haha, I saw this yesterday on Facebook. I am "friends" with Land Rover World and they said the Defenders are coming back to the US. I quote:

"Bugger, just heard that the Defender is possibly/definitely/maybe heading back to North America, guess that'll have to wait until the next issue now."

I didn't post anything, figured it was just a hoax.

Funny.......I don't see a pool anywhere in those pictures. You must have had the camera aimed in the wrong direction.

Nice pool party....

Don't rule the Defender return out for 2014.
This time it is very likely to happen. The current generation Defender dies then and a totally new replacement will come to be for 2014, and as it has to be totally redesigned it will likely be easy to adapt to US DOT (read that as "because it will be shitty).
But don't think it will be anything like the current Defender. As stated here it will be more like an FJ Crusier, uni-body, IFS, etc etc.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

Search "Bronco Defender" and you'll find a bunch of threads dedicated to it
