New D90 Owner

I cut the deal today and I'm pretty excited about it. Joining the ranks with a '95 D90 Beluga Black badge #2904. If anyone has any info on this truck I would love to hear about it. It's in fastback configuration at present, but would love to find the cage for a full soft top. If anyone has one or knows of one please let me know.

I'm right next door in Massapequa! I don't think I've ever seen you on the road. I'll keep a closer eye out.

I mostly head out east when driving my D and it hasn't seen much winter driving (ever). I have an aversion to salty road conditions!

My "winter" daily driver is a built up FJ cruiser and we have a 05 LR3 (both silver). Soon my Arles blue ST will be waking from it's semi hibernation.

Did you buy your 90 local?

Want to help remove it? Ice cold beers, red wine and juicy steaks will be served!

The truck is in VA just outside of DC. I hope to pick it up in the week. It's not a garage queen by any means, but I wasn't looking for that. Southern truck, which spent it's life in VA and Florida. I plan on keeping it shielded from the salt as well.

Are you an LIBBA member? Do you take yours out to Democrat and the like?

Waxoyl will be your friend if you want to protect against rust! I got mine done last summer at Randall's Autobody out in Southhampton.

I'm not a member of LIBBA as I don't know any members.

I haven't taken it out to Demo yet as I haven't had the time to fish on the beach. There are a few places out east (just access trails) I have ventured on.
I've done it in the past in my FJ, but haven't gotten a fishing permit lately. Didn't want to get it just to wheel around the sand. Maybe this season I'll get a permit and dig out my surfcasting rod.

Its better to go to Rausch Creek in PA for offroad fun! Nice and legal.

You should post picts of your Defender, as everyone here loves Defender pics!
I like mint Defenders, but love Defenders that aren't afraid to be used as intended.

Very nice. You should keep the drop curtain and other bits, and sell that half cab top.

Looks good. I would adjust the spare. Looks like it is on an angle.

I say forget a fastback top as you can't use it with the gutterkit and just go buy a rear c hoop and get a full top.

I think it's the lens they used to shoot with.

Thanks guys. Keep the comments coming. It looks better in these photos than up close. The hood is fading and needs a repaint. There are some rust spots around that need to be addressed. Leaking seals need attention as it sat too much over the past few years. Nevertheless, looking forward to a long term relationship with it. Revised plan and heading down in the AM to pick it up.
