Yup, they've been doing it for awhile. Been waiting for a hood for my FJ40 and for them to start making panels for the 110.

Yeah, I looked at buying a Scrambler (CJ8) body off of these guys about 4 years ago. Expensive, but nice.

Then I sold it:

Wow $3700 for a double cab FJ40 body doesnt seem like a lot. Id be in line for a 110 Double Cab body if they made one.

As totally cool as it would be, I don't know about that.

Separate out:
* The talkers / dreamers with no money, and

* The guys with money but not the rest of the bits and/or skill level to put together a complete vehicle,

* The guys with the money, bits and skill level, but with other obligations & priorities and,

* The vultures and cheap types who have the money but don't want to spend it,

and what do you really have left?

Truthfully, would there be enough demand to justify tooling expense? Is there sufficient demand to make enough bodies to get retail pricing below stratospheric levels?

Would people keep them long enough before a 'secondary' market develops that could potentially erode some of the 'new' body demand?
(Look at the number of 83 110's that have changed hands since coming to the US.)
