That looks really cool except for the fact that it looks like a 2011 Ford Explorer. But hay, nice try!

Reminds me of a New Cherokee (the stance anyway)... I like the reverse opening doors; but it's very from from discovery pedigree. That said I think we all might have to get used to the new land rover; tuck your classics into the garage extra snug tonight

You have to admit the laser headlights that auto shape to oncoming traffic is cool.

Why do we always say it looks like an Explorer?
Cos it does!

This has been around for a while now. Audi has it currently available in other markets but it is illegal in the States.

Ford "borrows" Astons front end for its cars and Tata "borrows" from Ford. No new ideas anywhere.

It will be a major selling and unique styling point in segment. I think it would have been more appropriate on the Range Rover. That is quite a large opening to make equally resilient in a side impact as a conventional setup.

Yeah, we were talking about this at work. This gives Gerry McGovern a .500 average.... Evoque and new RRS are out of the park, but DC100 and now the Discovery Concept are not looking so hot.

There are things I DO like about the concept. The glass roof with very large LED lights on top are bonus. A fold down front seat would be great when I am sleeping in the back and not using the roof top tent. The Tesla-esque all-glass center console is nice... but the touch screen steering wheel controls are not.

In the end, while I appreciate that legislation in both the US and EU are driving the facts of modern vehicle design (fuel efficiency via aerodynamics and pedestrian safe fronts), I should not be getting the instant feeling that I am looking at a Ford Explorer.
