Need to know what you think the value is

1997 62K miles. Second owner since 15kmiles. Has done some offroading and dinged up some bumpers. Has some surface rust on bumpers.
A/C works. No known issues. Any thoughts on value?

Thanks

Repaint the rear x-member, remove the side steps (or replace the bent one) and put a straight bumper on it and I would say you could list it around $35K - $38K easy on some sites.

I agree, should be able to get $35K without much trouble. Outside of the obvious blemishes, the truck looks clean!

It is a local truck by me. Was thinking of picking it up and driving it for awhile, replace some things and then possibly re-sell it. The rust appears to be surface rust only.

I will wait and see what others think.

Just not sure if it is worth it.

30K

I just wanted to be able to enjoy it for a bit and then if I got tired of it..sell it and get my money back out of it.
I really shouldn't buy it as I just purchased a Disco....BUT my wife has a Navigator and she said she wants my Disco and wants to get rid of the Navi. So I could afford it now where I couldn't before.

I probably should just be content...but that would be consistent with my addiction.

I think I can pick up the vehicle for 28K. Not sure how much all the parts are to fix up the problem areas.

I didnt see much else underneath that looked bent. He said just the bumper and the one rock slider.

He also said only issues are:
Antenna is broken off, rear wiper fluid squirter housing snapped off, approx 2cm dent in the top bar of the roof cage, Winch doesn't work, and I think there is a tiny leak in the power steering main hose. I had it verified at the shop that it is not from the transmission and is so tiny that their recommendation was to let it go for another couple years or until you were in the engine compartment anyway because the size of the leak and the amount of effort to fix it were disproportional. Seriously if it's half a quart of fluid a year I would be surprised.

He thinks the winch is a fairly simple fix.

Just trying to figure out if it is worth it or not

Those arent rock sliders just as an FYI.

If thats it and you can get it for 28K, I'd say grab it before someone else does.

Evilfij,

Do you also think that with new bumper, replaced side steps and re-painted crossmember do you think it could brink 35K?
