Need Importer in Orlando, Florida

Anyone here import trucks into Orlando? I need an Uncle Douglas for Florida. I have done it before and know the ins and outs but just don't have the time or energy. Let me know. Thanks

You could call Doug, he does stuff all over the country.

Or in Florida I believe Solar Guy aka Abe does a comperable service.

I'm in florida and Uncle Douglas did my truck for me. Worked out great.

Another vote for Doug.

Yeah I know but this is non-Rover related. I can do the buying, inspection, customs paperwork, and transportation. I just need someone to receive it at the port, clear customs, and get me the title.

Doug has done other non-Rover cars...

He's an importer/exporter...

A normal customs broker should be able to setup the pickup at port and delivery to you, like the broker used to setup shipping and that you give the customs paperwork to, from my expierence you do not need to do anything other than submit paperwork and wait for inspection (if applicable) to clear customs.

Then hire a title company to get the car titled/registered, which isn't too pricey from what i have seen. It sounds like you are willing to do 95% of the hard part.

If you would like I can provide the customs broker I used.

Then just post a pic.

You're going to need a bigger garage on that house.

Ha! No! It is not Rover related so I didn't want to post it in a Rover forum. I was just trying to find a customs broker in Florida since it would probably come in through Jax.

If you saw it you would understand I won't need a bigger garage. Gawd, no one will ever let me hang out at their camp fires after this but here goes The Mighty Honda Acty. A Japanese Kei truck.

They did sell those style trucks here, I saw this one (suzuki) in Sullivan County NY last weekend, $6k I believe for this one. Those trucks are sooo cool. Would be a cool trail rig on 29's

Kei Trucks rock. I thought there were issues with getting them legally on the road. Off road Kei Trucks are awesome though.

Yeah I am conflicted. Should I be selfish and get a Kei truck which will only fit me and 2 bags of rice in the front, or get this which has a double cab so my little girls can ride in the back?

Well, I think you should at least give Doug a shot at this.
He might need a good laugh...

The fact that he hasn't responded is pretty telling but I will shoot him a pm. I just wasn't sure he did this kind of import since it is from Japan and not a Rover.
