Please help asap. GF has caught wind of it and dropped the "T" word.

Hmmm.

Probably everything is booked by now. I like V-day and all but seriously it is a clusterfuck to go out and eat on V-Day. BTW what do you want for a gift?

PS want to go to [city D90 is located in] tomorrow night?

Some nice pearl earrings would make a good gift (they have to be real though). Thatís not too expensive. I could be asking for diamonds.

Let me guess, youíve found a car?

How did you know?

[Url of D90]

I will look for pearl earings. You are getting cultured pearls though. None of that we found them in an oyster at McCormick and Schmidt.

Youíre going to pay $[price of D90] for an old [color of D90] car???

Ugh.

Is this girl relatively new in your life? Must be, otherwise she'd know better than to question your Land Rover purchases!

Shoot me the VIN. I'll do it just to keep you from having to spend 19.95 you cheap-ass bastard. Its also an opportunity to run the VIN on 25 more 110's.

Actually, I pity him. I know that he doesn't know how to enter his CC info into a website.

One word for you Ron. Paypal

Dammit, that reminds me I got hit by the T word too and forgot. I guess I can ship overnight still.. It would take several hours to drive to the nearest store and back.

Oh and spill the beans on the D. Safe to link us to it now.

See flea market.

GF's gift will depend on if she drives me to NJ this weekend.

I know how to use paypal, but I am running out of my limit and am not sure how to fix that without giving them bank info.

Cool. Says no rust on the body, but hopefully the frame is good too.

Follow-up Post:

You give them your CC or bank info, but that's one company and one company only, not all the others you deal with.

Frame is immaculate, that is why I ponyed up. Paint all still on it. It really did live in a garage its whole life. The rust you see in the footwells is surface, battery box still has all the yellow paint. Doors have dime size holes in the rear bottom corners and the third brake light peeled and rusted (but not bad). No other rust. It needs a few things (cats being the biggest), but otherwise it is solid.

If I spend a weekend with it, it will be fine.

PS Paypal has my amex. Not giving out my checkign account number.

Fuel tank skid is toast, but as long as the rear cross member is good you are golden! What's the plan with it?

The skid plate is just surface rust. The pic makes it look 10x worse than it is.

Plan is to put it in my new garage and take it out on nice days and to MAR once a year. I also plan to fix the little rust it has and waxyoyl the chassis and bulkhead. If I get motivated I am pulling the cappings and galvanizing them.

No offense but your checking account number (and bank routing number) are printed on the bottom of every check you write. I believe the risk of someone lifting those numbers as your check travels through the mail, sits around at the vendor's place of business, gets scanned into accounting software, gets bundled together for a deposit, and wends its way through the Federal Reserve Bank system back to your bank is significantly greater than PayPal's systems getting hacked.

But, that's just my opinion and no, I don't work for PayPal. Actually, an increasing method of identity theft is people stealing outgoing bill payments right out of mailboxes.
