Just posted on our local board in NH.
Maybe if it turns up, we could go over and 'encourage' the shitbag to give it back. I'm sure we could find a couple volunteers.

There was a girl here in Boulder who had her bicycle stolen. She watched Craigslist and sure enough it showed up for sale a few days later. She went over there posing as a prospective buyer and took it for a test drive. Just kept riding and never went back.

The link still works from what I can tell but here is the text. I saw that story about the girl and the bike and that was part of the reason I posted it on here since I know we all troll craigslist for deals.

To the person that stole my brother's jetski off our front lawn:
I bet you didn't realize that the jetski you were stealing belonged to a 26 year old soldier currently deployed in Afghansitan. He decided to list his jetski for sale so he could use the money as a downpayment for a house when he returns home next month. After nearly 10 months on active duty he is preparing to come home and set up his life back here in the USA, and selling it was not an easy decision for him. It makes me sick to my stomach knowing that there are people out there with no regards to what is right and wrong... and worst of all, my brother is over there fighting for us all, and serving our country. He does not deserve this.

If anyone has any information about this stolen jetski please respond to this ad. We thank you.

John,

Look in areas where there is no need of a title to obtain a registration number, most likely if stolen with the intention of making a quick buck, that is what it needs to happen.

On the other hand if stolen with the intention to repair a broken one.. well.. :-(

Want to share the VIN and couple of pics of the ski, so we could look up?

Most homeowner's policies excludes motorized vehicles.
I'm not sure that it extends to all motorized equipment such as garden tractors or snowblowers, but having owned enough motorcycles in my life to know that they are definately NOT covered under home-owners. I wish they were for your sake though - that's a real bummer.

The only good news is that being a personal watercraft, they will have to eventually get it registered or risk confiscation/fines. It may turn up that way (you'd be surprised how stupid criminals can be)......
or you can use SearchTempest dot com to scan ebay/craigslist in the northeast for that type of PWC being listed for sale. That way SearchTepest notifies YOU when there is an ad and you don't have to check religiously. Keep looking well into spring because it wouldn't make any sense for a thief to try to unload it now.

Either way I hope the thieves end up trading the stolen loot for a "hot" dose of heroin or bad batch of meth and die a slow painful death soaked in their own piss and vomit!

Yeah that is covered.

Actually a funny story, years ago I used to windsurf sort of competition and to do that you were required to register the sailboard and have your number on the sail, well, once in Destin FL, some douche stole my surfboard off the rack and my insurance tried to deny the Homeowner coverage because it was a registered vessel. ( but they promptly paid after I got the barracudas to talk to them ).

However , if you remember years ago, SurfJet created a jet surf board and that was not considered a vessel
