It was good to meet so many of the D-90 source people at the Rally. Wished I had more time to look everyone's trucks over closer.

Thanks Jonathan and everyone else who helped me with the broken axle. I also blew out 2 tires on the trailer on the way home. Guess it was just my turn this trip.

Had a great time wheelin' with you guys and can't wait till next year.

Vic and I made it back safely to Cali late Sunday night. Thanks Yousef, Mike and everyone in our group including the OK Rovers. This was our first LR Rally and we were extremely happy to have joined. We look forward to the 2006 event.

The trip back was ok except for a horrific freeway rollover we witnessed on east bound I70. Glad the dirt divider stopped the vehicle from leaping into our lane. Several people stopped to help. We called 911 and said a prayer for the occupants.

Since you mention it, I am going to Moab September 10-11. I signed my old man up for the Bill Burke "On The Road course", trying to get him into wheeling. If you want to meet up, I'll stay longer or go earlier. Let me know if your interested, PM me. This time it's your turn to follow, I already have enough dust in the truck.

Thanks for posting the pic's Mike. For the record, the winch line was not used to climb the rock, but rather used when I was backing up, the truck just didn't feel right when I was trying to back up. I still couldn't make that obstacle. Chinaman water fall 2 - Yousef 0 To make me feel better though, I climbed the big double step at the end of the trail at the first try w/o even spinning my tires, no idea how that happened

Finally made it back Saturday night, 8/6. I pulled in around 7:30 PM, after we drove straight through the night. 9 states inside of 36 hours. 5300 total miles for the trip!

No major mechanicals. A couple bushings went south on me and the shift interlock on the TC packed up on my first day out there.

Just starting to go through the pictures now. I'll have to send the video's to Mike/Jimmy. Have a bunch of Holy Cross on Wed. including Jimmy getting tipsy .

Thanks to everyone for the great time. It was awesome to put faces with names, and to do some great trails at the rally.

Have any of you east coast guys looked into shipping your truck out for next years rally? I was wondering what it would cost? Maybe a group discount if we get a few trucks to go on it....

Randy, it's doable. You want to find a private, insured shipper that can take 3-5 trucks on one trailer. But it's still $$. Last time I looked, it was at least $1100 each way with 4 trucks.

Funny thing is, I saw the ROXS white D-90 number 79 atop a car trailer on I-70, west of Denver on our way home. Wonder where that thing was headed.

Mike, no kidding. Thanks again for your help. It was driving me nuts up until you figured it out.

Where can I send videos?

Here is an initial stab of pics from the trip including the rally. Hope it doesn't bore anyone. For those of you in the pics, I'll be sending hi-res shots as soon as I can. If you really want them in a hurry, I can burn to a CD if you pm your mailing address.

Damn it... that is $$$.. I have to speak to my friend that does car hauling. Maybe I can strike a deal with him for next year. It would be tuff for me to take the time off to go to the rally and drive there and back..

Randy, no matter what you should really try to make it, same goes for everyone else. I can express enough how much fun the entire event was. Most of these events are good, but they just become more of a social get together; however, this was great people and great trails! Next years will be in Moab.
