NAS 90s

Looking for some market guidance. I have been stalking the for sale section for awhile. I see lots of NAS trucks in the high 40-50k range advertised and some (pristine) examples in the stratosphere. My question is where are trucks actually selling now? As I said I see many advertised but not a ton of sales. I am looking for the truck that is in good working order not a rust bucket but not perfect either.

depending on year, mileage, etc. that you're looking for, you should be able to find what you want/need under $40k. Have you been sending offers? That'll give you a good idea on how "firm" all of these sellers are. This is also the perfect time of year to be a buyer of a NAS ST, as prices dip a little going into (and through) the Winter.

I think a 'Sold Listings' search on eBay will give you a pretty good idea at what price they're selling for. An 11k 97 Monza sold for $96k a couple days ago, but there were a few trucks in July and August that sold for under $40k including a 50k 97 for $36k.

This one looks pretty nice: http://r.ebay.com/hsgIbW. The ad claims the owner is selling because they ordered a 2017 Defender. Can you really already order a new one?

Thanks I guess I was reluctant to throw out a 38k bid on a truck with a 65k bin price. No reason not to though.

Makes for a good story to potential buyers. "Wow the PO must really love Defenders and cared for this one nicely"

Bait... yeah some dealers are taking your money but there is no schedule for delivery (if ever) just a 1k to form the line

Interesting. Boy, you sure have to be careful with these dealers. This truck that had 128k miles in June now magically has 30k miles.

another 0 feedback ebay'er that joined in June and the first thing they do is sell a $70k. Nothing about that is suspicious at all.

Worldwide Vintage Autos being blatantly dishonest? Nothing surprising there.

From their eBay ad:
Quote:
DISCLOSURE:

-There are a few chips / imperfections in the paint (See detailed pictures)

-Odometer shows 30K and works but true mileage is unknown.

-Soft top has rips that have been patched (taped)

-AC needs a charge.

-Two small chips in the windshield.
From the ad they bought the truck from:
Quote:
Year: 1997 VIN (
Vehicle Identification Number): SALDV2243VA113787
Mileage: 128,500
Criminal in my book.

In my book as well. You should contact Ebay about it being a fraudulent ad..

I called Worldwide on the Red 97. The salesguy was a bit more forthcoming about the mileage and also said the fan on the AC flat out didn't work rather than simply "needs a recharge."

Not sure about the "Portofino Red" on a 97 ST either.
