NAS 110-to paint or not to paint

Well I've got a new galvy frame and the bulkhead, T Pieces, and cappings have been or will be galvinized also and will be painted. Original paint is in pretty decent shape, but no luster any more.

With the entire truck coming apart should I repaint it (why)and if so what color?

Stock-Apline White

Alpine White with black cage

Conniston Green

Arles Blue

Bonatti Gray with matching top or Beluga Black with white top.

But I'll vote Arles Blue as that is sick as well.

I like the black cage on the alpine truck, a color change seems to affect resale values but the black cage does not.

I'm all for color-change because the white-on-white thing just doesn't do it for me. Conniston green has been done, at least twice that I'm aware of, and so has Arles (though it looks good).

My vote would be for the Deep Bronze Green from the heritage 110's.

I do need to call out Josh and mention that black with a white top would be hideous! Sorry, but your opinion is wrong!

My vote would be a Bonatti Grey or Zambezi silver, with a black cage.

If you want a diffrent color then paint it, if you are happy with the white then keep it white

Now is the time to paint it if you think you might want a diffrent color.

My vote was for Arles Blue but you should paint it whatever color makes you happy.

We are restoring 110 CDN#10/25 in Arles Blue right now, so that will mean another one out there in Blue.
Do a color that hasn't been done before IMO.

I'm a fan of the murdered out 110 look.

I must be weird but I honestly like the white on white stock color scheme.

I agree, Eastnor Green looks good on a 110:

Kelly

I want a picture!!

I used to want to paint the 110 a different color but there are a couple of issues.

Issue 1 - If you aren't going to do every single piece meaning there will be white on the bulkhead and in the seat box I say don't bother. There is no point in ruining it by doing it half assed.
Issue 2 - The NAS trucks are unique with the full cage. Most people change the cage to black, me included. I feel if you start painting the truck a different color and of course leave the roof white there is too much going on. Seems to make the truck look busy. Just an opinion of course

Yeah if someone would paint my truck eastnor green perfectly for free sign me up!!!

Hmmm...you don't happen to have a picture of that one near or next to a Conniston Green D90 do you. They are similar, yet different.

KG, I'd love to see some pics of yours, post em up or send them on and I will.

Coniston Green 110 is here:

http://www.eastcoastrover.com/110Wagon.html

Eastnor is a little more military looking IMO, but both are cool, as is Bronze Green.

When I get around to re-painting mine it will be in Arles Blue with a black (most of it inside though) cage and a white roof. So I must write in that combination.
