NAS 110 owners... factory battery disconnect switch ?

Did this ever make it to the D110s on the NAS 110 ?

@ 4:57 they show a battery disconnect switch.

My truck sits idle while im overseas, and i like the convenient switch.
If the switch is removable like the FIA / race switches, it could help with security assuming i can harden the battery box.

Anyone have a better pic of its mounting location and inside the battery box ?

and most importantly, does anyone know where to buy one with the guard as shown ?

thanks everyone its much appreciated.

Yes, that's the stock switch. So it'll be in the stock parts manual including the guard. Try RoversDownSouth or Rovers North.

Thank you !

My 110 is Israel spec ....and ive never checked out a NAS 110.

I say Israel spec because, every 110 that was imported to israel has Wolf wheels, no interior rubber mats, an Israel made a/c system and no cut off switch.

Could someone put up a pic of the switch ? Id like to see it location on the seat box.

thanks again,

rob

I've been looking for one too, as I'd like to install it on my 90. If you find a place that has them, please let me know.

Thanks,
Isaac

90

I did see one at Rovers north, but no picture.

Has anyone installed one of these shut offs for the battery on a 90? Mine has been sitting a lot lately and after 2-3 weeks the battery is drained. Would be great to have a simple shut off. Ideas?

I installed one on my 97 SW. Bought the switch (Hella) and cables on eBay for @ $20, then ordered the 110 cover/switch guard from Rovers North-- another $15 perhaps. Installation was straight-forward. I placed it on the front of the driver's seat box, closer to the handbrake than the stock location on the NAS D110.

Here is an exmple:

We put them in about 50% of the 90s we work on. This style is more costly, you can also do a real simple screw type from your local auto parts store if you don't mind getting under the seat when you want to switch it on or off.

Thanks everyone !

Seems the British boards recommend a FIA rated switch, standard Hella switch i can find but the FIA
seem to be more elusive.

"FIA Approved. Designed to eliminate the possibility of the alternator circuit being damaged due to a heavy voltage surge. When turned OFF the engine will automatically be stopped due to the secondary switch function whereby the ignition circuit is cut. This prevents 'run on' and is a vital safety factor especially in competition use."

Soooooo.... is a FIA switch needed ?

thanks again,

The NAS one seems to be have a more stout handle than the one pictured by Yudda.
