NAS 110 Color Poll

I bought a NAS canadian 110 a few months back. It is turning into the project as I am sorting it out, doing some much needed maintenance and dealing with a few rust spots. It's becoming obvious that I will need to remove the cage and roof to get to the rear capping and repaint them. Once I get it to that point, a color change is a more viable option. My overwhelming thought is to stay with the stock Alpine white but I really like the Beluga black and......... the Bonnetti grey is really good looking too. I know this will be a sore topic for some to change the color, but I thought I see what the board thinks.

I for one like the contrast of the black accessories against the body color, so I would choose NAS Alpine white or Bonatti grey. This in one reason I switched my 110 from black to green. A black truck also gets really HOT during the summer!

White is the worst color for a vehicle. I suggest Arles Blue.

Add one vote for Alpine White. If it were a 110 import I would say paint it whatever (Land Rover) color you fancied, but for a NAS 100 - keep it white.

I never had the option with my truck but there is something about non alpine white defender 110s that look awesome and non NAS. My bias tells me that white is the best because that is what I ended up with but bonnati grey is certainly a very very close 2nd. My D2 was bonnati grey and I loved it. Would you paint the fenders or leave them that bare sand paper like material?

If I were going to paint a 110, I would go with Willow green and black cage and accessories.

Not quite Willow Green, but this my ROW 110 with NAS cage. The paint is true military OD with a semigloss clear. I show this pic more for the nice contrast of black against body color.

I vote white, green or grey. I like all 3. I do not like black as there is no contrast.

Loved Red ever since my Portafino Red Discovery. My rebuilt 90 is going to be red-just haven't decided the exact shade

I'm a big fan of keeping things as stock as possible so my vote would be for Alpine White for a NAS truck... that said were I to have to repaint I would be very tempted to paint the cage black as I think that really POPS!

Removing the cage and roof to fix the capping isn't a big deal. It is nothing compared to the amount of work it would take to change the color.

Remove bulkhead
Dissemble doors
Remove entire interior
Etc

I have been thinking the same thing until I took out the interior this weekend. Now its starting to look pretty stripped.

If you want to see willow, here's Tyler's:

ECR's:

and mine.

I think Scott Oncken (roverso) also has a Willow Green 110 with external cage but I can't find a picture. You get the idea.

Reese, you have a Black and a White D90. Which do you prefer? I was always a fan of the BB until I could never find one. Bought White and now I really love it. The contrast is what I prefer. With that being said, My all time Favorite 110 is the ECR BB followed by the Arles Blue ECR 110. You can go wrong either way! Look forward to seeing pics!

Willow is dead sexy and gets my vote:

But of the 3 listed I would have to pick white.
