NAS 110 #354 4,000 miles

Just thought I would put this out there as I know this 110 will pop up somewhere after getting fluffed. A gentleman called the shop to sell a 110. It turned out to be a legit 4000 mile truck that has been sitting forever in New York.
I ran the car fax and made an offer.
Our offer was not accepted, but someone supposedly paid $100K (not confirmed but that is what the seller told us) for it and the 109 you see in the background.
Debate away, but just thought I'd put it out there.

Is it really that confidential? Haha. Just curious what you thought it was worth sight unseen so to say. It's not a right or wrong answer (unless you consider it wrong because someone thought it was worth more).

I offered $60K for it, knowing it would need just about everything, but it was (as far as I know) the lowest mile NAS 110 out there.

I could not confirm that, but it has been sitting in the same spot for at least the last 15 years.

$100k seems like a lot for a truck that has sat deteriorating outside for years.

Probably. I'd posted a 110 under 10k miles a couple of years ago that then ended up at your place a few months later. That went for *only* $99k (from what I remember) the first time around with an early end to the auction.

Ok so $100k for the truck + 100k for a total restoration.. Is this is a $200k + truck after a total restoration?

Not in my opinion, but I have been wrong before.
Maybe it will be on ebay in a few months for $300K.

That guy needs to go to car enthusiast jail for letting that truck sit out there in NY for all that time. Who buys a 110 and then doesn't drive it or sell it? Answer, someone buying it as an investment. this guy is an idiot.

I'm curious to how trashed it is. Not driving it has to be better than driving through a bunch of salt covered streets for twenty plus winters.

Wonder what the inside is like.

after that long, pretzel sticks have more strength than that frame. if you turn that engine over, you'll be able to see that fire from the intl space station.

for 100k i can think of trucks that are a lot more fun to wheel than a stock NAS 110. i could barely get mine half way up the power lines at winter romp in 6 inches of snow...i sold it shortly after.

Why do you just assume the frame is toast?

Flush the fluids, change the hoses, I bet it will run fine.

because it's ALWAYS worse then what we think it is. At least that's what I hear from every rover restoration shop that I have ever interacted with.

I can't imagine what those intercooler hoses look like.

We'll find out soon enough when that 110 shows up for flip money somewhere!

I think at 100k it was a steal. A detail and service and make it run and it is $150k truck even with some rust.

Frankly, to restore that thing would be a travesty. It should be cleaned up and preserved.

well it wasn't $100k, because that allegedly included 2 trucks.
