My ship has finally come in

I came across this on another board and thought some of you (with a sense of humor) might get a kick out of it. I am going to go for the 4 unit package myself. Watch out ECR!

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

Gary, I'll give you $600,000 and we'll go in together. Sounds a good deal

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody bites. There is always some trustafarian waiting in line to lose money on stupid off-beat business ideas (not that restoring Rovers is a bad business, but going into like this is a poor idea).

I would doubt everthing is ready to go, but, instead, must be sourced. More like, contract with me, and I'll find these pieces parts and deliver them. Who is sitting around with handfuls of NAS 110 titles?

Off topic, the market I think that would be interesting would an ECR style resto shop but with an equal emphasis on sales for the mid 70's to mid 80's Mercedes 300. There is a growing nostalgia for these cars, and a longing for vehicles that didn't seem like they were meant to be thrown away. These cars are also capable of being driven and enjoyed in the modern driving environment (i.e. they don't overheat in weather above 70, can handle the interstate, aren't Lucas nightmares, have real brakes, crash well, etc.).

He's been trying to do this for a couple years.. I traded some stuff with Creed, he treated me well but he REALLY wanted the clear 97 D90 title I had. Two complete 110 rolling Chassis in very nice condition, a half Dozen Salisbury rears, a clean LHD Bulkhead, and a nice pile of $$$ that covered the cost of the wrecked 90 I bought... Sure his cost on the bits he brought where low But I can turn them into a nice profit at some point. Still a very strange dude..

Wish me luck, I'm show'n this great idea to my wife.

Ok, I have the dinning room table all set up, you know with candles and flowers, kind of like I did after I backed over her cat when I was going to get more beer. Any way I think she will understand that I'll need to have her park out side as the little room thats left in the garage is going to be all used for this cool pile of parts. I am photo shoping the last one of the first group, and I am making it her favorite color and I am going to promise to give her that car first. I love to promise stuff to her. I think she likes that you know when I promise her all kinds of stuff. I think we can use that as our exclusive demo car. And I promise that I will give everyone on this list a 15% discount. I promise!
