My Rover is a movie star!!

A while back my Defender was used in a movie shoot, called Tomorrowland, starring George Clooney.

Well last night I rented it and watched the whole movie looking for it, and lo and behold in the last 2 minutes there it was.

That's really cool man. It would be awesome to print a photo and get it signed by mr. Clooney and frame that thing! Granted that doesn't look like him in the picture...

Wait...you're in BC...did they film the scene in BC as well? Do you know where they took the truck to make it look like it was in Africa?

Very cool! When my son and I saw that scene we wondered about it, where it came from, etc...

Do you get double mug points from Rovers North?

This is so crazy.

LAST NIGHT, one of my girls came home from school and insisted we watch Tomorrowland and we saw it (Defender) and she screamed, Dad! There is one of your cars!!!

How awesome and congrats!!!

Do they pay well?

If I remember correctly I got about $600. for the shoot. It was picked up on a flatbed on Friday and returned the same way on Sunday.

...and yes I was beginning to wonder if it got left on the cutting room floor, as it was also used in Mission Impossible, Ghost Protocol, but never made the scene ...however Tom Paid better than George, lol.

Rates for picture cars are always all over the place and of course they will always try to pay as low as possible. 500 seems to be the average for a still shoot and I would expect film to pay more.
