Talking My new ride...

Yeah, I knew I couldn't stay away for long.... Took delivery of my "new" 67 Series IIA 88", on Saturday. BEST birthday EVER!! hahaha

She's currently immobile, but overall in better shape than I originally thought. Frame and bulkhead are in fantastic shape. VERY original from top to bottom!

Needs
- New dual circuit/power brake system (really only wheel cylinders, but I figure I'd go the safer route).
- Fluids changed.
- Misc bolts, nuts, screws that are missing.
- New clutch cylinders
- New hydraulic flex lines (brakes and clutch).
- Fuel sender

extras that I'm adding
- electric fuel pump
- new fuel filter
- possibly new tires and rims (not high on the list)

Top priority is getting her running and road worthy.... I figure I'll have a host of things to work on once I get to that point!

The simplicity feels great!!!
Cheers,
Jabber

Nice!

I'm going back to Chicago in a couple weeks for the summer, but if you want a hand with anything let me know.

I'm pretty decent with a wrench in one hand and a beer in the other!

Sweet ride, Mike. I have a galvanized defender front bumper (virtually new) that I would let go for a good price if you are interested if the mounts are the same. I look forward to seeing you around Boulder...

Mike, you knew you couldn't stay away...once it's got you, it's over.

Nice truck, amazing how once you have one you start getting older ones instead of newer ones.

It looks like you found a real gem there!
Jesse, that's what I was going to say. Sometimes the simpler things are, the easier they are to enjoy.

Congratulations, Jabber!

(I'm glad I don't have to do the monster truck thing on your Yugo )

Thanks Rod! Told ya I wouldn't stay away that long. And the commuter is still in the works.... I'm looking for that perfect rice mobile.

Here's a few more pics...

After having this one but a few days.... I wished I would have gotten a Series LONG ago!!! haha The simplicity is great!!! Granted she's not running yet, but I'm just waiting for the parts to show up. I figure in the next few weeks.

It's been a hellava year.... engaged, bought a house, bought a Series, and getting married!! Oh and the soon to be wife wants to use the series as our "just married" vehicle!!! I figure that might get me a spot in LRM.... hahaha!!

Craig, thanks for the offer!! I'm actually thinking of keepin this one for a bit then replacing it with a winch bumper from Ike. I've had an Warn 8274 for about two years now and haven't put it on anything... I figure the series is the perfect candidate!!

Hope to see ya around boulder!!
