my new 110 XS SW

The oportunity has come to by a new 110. The wifes D2 was due a change and they've made the 110 a "commercial" vehicle here so you can claim the VAT back...20%! and this also means a low road fund licence..210 rather than 460

I got one of the last 2.4L tdci's as they are now bringing out a 2.2L with a DPF (diesel particulate filter) which entails MORE electronics and cost.

My local dealer was rubbish so i ended up buying from the midlands, Birmingham, and saved a pretty packet on RRP.

They drive great. The 6 speed box is a dream on the motorway, the dash layout and heater is a lot better. I love it!

First pics at the dealers when i collected it...9 miles old

Then i had to do some running around in Bath, so i stopped by the Royal cresent for a phot shoot....only 1 pic came out

It's the new colour. Orkney Grey. Lighter than Stornaway. It looks great in the sunshine!

Ok so might I ask if we were so fortunate to be able to stroll down to Ye Ole Land Rover Shoppe and buy a new 110 what it would cost? Just to add further insult to injury.

You could always import a "meticulously restored and updated" 1985 version of the same truck for, ahem, $150k...
